The main goals of BREAD OF LIFE is I John 3:17-24

17. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother

have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from

him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in

tongue; but in deed and in truth.

19. An hereby we know that we are of the truth and

shall assure our hearts before him.

20. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than

our heart, and knoweth all things.

21. Beloved, if our heart condemns us not,

then have we confidence toward God.

22. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him,

because we keep his commandments,

and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23. And this is his commandment that we should believe

on the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one

another, as he gave us commandment.

24. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in

him, and he in him. An hereby we know that he abideth

in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Also to feed and clothe the homeless, and feed them the

Word of God that can help permanently change their situations.

The Word of God says in Galatians 6:10

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,

especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Matthew 25:35 - For I was a hungered, and ye gave me meat;

I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger,

and ye took me in; Matthew 25:36 - Naked, and ye clothed me,

I was sick and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 inasmuch as ye have done it unto

one of the least of these my brethrens ye have done it unto me.

Greetings in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Since September 11, 2001, a heavy burden has been placed on the Church to

help the brethren in need during the days following of trial and peril and economic

disaster placed upon our nation. It has become an almost "impossible" task on the

part of individual church communities to reach out to believers in their time of

need for food, clothing, financial help to pay rent and utility bills, etc. as the funds

and monies required to adequately assist in these areas are just not available in most

of our church budgets.

Recently, it has been brought to my attention by a sister in Christ, as she has sought

this same type of help due to an unforeseen crisis in her life, that believers have no

other choice in this predicament but to turn to the worldly system for assistance,

which is at best, inadequate in and of itself to say the least. After hearing the story

of her struggle in just obtaining information as to which of these facilities and/or

government agencies provide this type of assistance and listening to her as she

shared her heart and vision with me, I feel it necessary to present it to you,

the Church, in this letter and to the public via my upcoming radio broadcasts.

She has related to both me and my wife, Sheila, that the Lord has given her a vision

regarding this matter and is sure that she has and is going through this financial

crisis in her life in order to help others like herself who have endured the same

dilemma and stands firmly on 1 John 3:17-24, that we must as true believers help

our brethren in need, not in word or in tongue, but in deed, and also focused

heavily on the fact that there exists no substantial organization among the

churches to offer any financial help to those in need. I must say she is right.

Therefore, in the love of Christ, I am appealing to each of you and your communities

to prayerfully consider joining us as we launch out in faith and into the deep waters

of child-like obedience according to the vision the Lord has given this sister to turn

her experience around and bless others because of it. It is time we join our efforts

together as one Body in Christ Jesus to help and assist the needy of our brothers

and sisters among us.

THE PLAN:

Please tune in to our upcoming radio broadcasts on WLNO 1060 AM every Saturday

at 3pm and listen as this sister and I discuss her experience and the vision. We will

be asking listeners (individuals and church communities) to call us and respond with

financial donations. Any details past this, we do not know, but we are willing to be

faithful to the challenge of the calling and the rest is up to the Lord. If it is truly of

Him, He will put His hand to the task and bless it and multiply it and it will grow.

I can foresee many wonderful possibilities through this effort of the Body of Christ

in the Greater New Orleans area coming together in one accord In Him, loving one

another and reaching out to those in need, bringing forth the manifestation of the

kingdom of heaven. For we are the light of the world! It is time that our light

shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.
